Riverwood August 2010- Part 1

The A-Team is coming home at the end of the month, and we hope to visit with other family members at Riverwood when they are here, so we needed to make a trip to drop off tents, air mattresses and sleeping bags before then. We sure didn't want to get back in the car and go anywhere right about now, but we were only going for a quick overnight stay this time. We decided to take Smudge with us and she was more than excited to join us for the trip. What a good little traveller she was. She sang and chatted happily for the first part of the trip, but was soon sawing logs and stayed that way for a large part of the journey.
She was well rested when we got to the farm and soon she and cousin Jinu were off for a walk.
She had a bit of trouble steering him in the right direction from time to time...
but soon won the battle and they were both making tracks for the Playner Mill again.
Buppas, Cousins, Aunties, Uncles, Grandmas, Grandpas and a dog all gathered in the newly furnished Mill for a chat.
Jinu made himself right at home on Buppa's lap and Smudge thought she had better keep a close eye on things.
Uncle Ben played the guitar, and he and Aunt Mary shared pictures of their trip through South-East Asia with us.
Aunties - Heather, Sarah and Laura enjoyed a visit...
and the kidlets tag-teamed Buppa.
It was a short visit, but a heartwarming one and thoroughly enjoy by everyone. I'll post a few more pics for everyone who was there to see now that they have all gone home. Then I'll get back to our travel pics from down East.
