AC and I have been on holiday for the past couple of weeks, and and form of schedule seems to have flown out the window. Yahoo! It has been quite glorious really, to relax and enjoy a stay-cation. Sleeping in; breakfasts and lunches with friends; gardening; beading; reading; picnics in the park...and time just staring into space or watching a mindless show on TV.
On Saturday I had a date with my two favorite girls, and after we had lunch, we shopped until I almost dropped. Danica still had plenty of energy at the end of the afternoon, but Mommy and Amma were DONE!

Someone was very pleased to be invited along for the luncheon and shopping date. |
She looked so grown-up sauntering along in front of us. |
Lemonade, chocolate milk and apple juice were on the menu, but seeing as we were at a Tearoom, Danica decided to try iced tea. She sipped it like a Lady, and it was a pleasure to have her along for the date. |
What a little ray of sunshine. |
After lunch, we went into the gift shop adjoining the tea room. I looked up from my shopping at one point to see Dani sitting on the floor happily counting her money to see if she had enough change to buy a little mirror for her purse. |
She did, and was pleased with her purchase. |
Next was a visit to the bookstore. She settled into the comfy chair in the store, and closely examined this particular book. |
She looked at a lot of books, but we decided not to buy anything, as
the library had plenty of books she could borrow. Smart girl! |
We walked along Main Street, and did lots of window shopping. We also stopped along the way to sit a while with a statue of James Naismith - the founder of basketball. Danica thought she might like to sit on his shoulder, but couldn't quite manage it in a dress... |
...so she settled for sitting on his lap... |
...and giving him a hug. |
It was a fun girls afternoon out. I look forward to many more.
