When we got the word on Monday morning that the buses were cancelled, and we would have both kids all day, I had to scramble to come up with ideas to keep them both busy all day.
I quickly went downstairs and hunted up my "Mary Poppins" bag, and my craft box. Both were full of emergency supplies for such a time as this. The first item I came across was this old box that belongs/belonged to Auntie Ally.
It's in pretty good shape for a box that is about 20 years old. |
Inside the box was Auntie Ally's pencil collection. Hundreds and hundred of pencils. |
We spread them out on the table... |
...and inspected each one. |
Each munchkin got to chose just one to sharpen and use that day. Thanks Auntie Ally |

We also found Auntie Ally's old crayon collection, which was in remarkably good condition. Hardly any missing at all. |
These treasures kept us entertained for quite awhile. More pics to follow tomorrow.

We will remember and appreciate days like this -- at least you will remember.
