Remembering...

Dani came home the other day asking about her Great-Grandpa Lou who had been a soldier. We talked about his adventures as a tank driver, and that branched out into stories about Remembrance Day.  She had obviously been talking about this at school too, and was very concerned about all the soldiers who died during the war.
She has such a tender caring heart this, little one does.

She picked up her crayons and set to putting her feeling down on paper.
Of course I had to run for the camera and capture the picture in progress.
Finished product.

JJ sat on the other side of the table, and drew pictures of Spiderman fighting the bad guys with magic webs instead of soldiers with bullets.    Don't you wish we could actually do that?  Webs instead of bullets sounds like a good idea to me.

Everything I've read about Danica definitely says caring heart. And I could not agree more about webs as a replacement for bullets. Sadly, even if that were possible, I am not sure the idea would catch on here in the States. Guns are, to my dismay and distress, valued almost above all else. Newtown, Connecticut proved that. And that's not to mention all the innocent Iraquis we killed. If only there could have been a web to at least save the lives of children! We need more hearts like Danica's.

Regenia - Yes she does. She is deeply touched by hurt and pain in others, and remembers details, and asks questions long after an event.

Wouldn't magic webs be a treat after all the gun violence in this old world? I find it so hard to fathom the fight against stricter guns rules in your country, especially after Newtown. What in the world is it going to take to get assault weapons restricted?

We do need more hearts like Danica's, and maybe a woman in the Whitehouse would move us all closer to that. What happens in your country affects us all, and speaking of that, I love Elizabeth Warren. If I had a vote in your country I would vote for her in a minute!
