This is what we feasted our eyes on during the whole ride.
I also feasted my eyes on this beauty once we got home. AC surprised me with this new "Dr T" bodhran. Isn't she pretty? She sounds even better than she looks. What a treat to play this drum after the rather sad one I had before. Thanks AC, I LOVE it!

She did settled down once she was strapped into the trailer though, and quite enjoyed her ride.
She chatted with Buppa during the whole ride and kept turning around to see if I was still following. This was a short outing because of the weather, but AC said the trailer was easy to pull and longer rides wouldn't be a problem. What fun!
Then she thought she would try to climb up the tube slide the other way. Didn't have too much luck with this though,
so she ran across the sand to the rocking toy but didn't spend much time there. Too tame for her I think
She wanted back on the swing, and this time it was Amma's turn to push her.
After all that activity in the sunshine it was time for a snack in the shade, so she joined Buppa in the gazebo for some goldfish and a drink of apple juice. 
After that little pick-me-up she had another session on the swings and then we set off for home. Even after all the waking to get there and the running and playing once at the park, she wanted to push the stroller home instead of riding in it. She walked almost all the way home, but half a block from the house she sat down on the sidewalk for a rest. We decided then that it was time to put her in the stroller and make her ride the rest of the way home. She didn't seem to mind at all. Her little legs must have been very tired at that point.
She did take a break from pushing from time to time, but I had her on a tight leash, so she couldn't go very far.
After our long walk, it was once again time for bed and another story with Buppa.
The next morning dawned sunny and bright, so we headed to the park. Smudge went straight to the swings,
and then headed over to the climbing apparatus. Buppa had to help her get started,
but soon she was doing just fine on her own. She figured out that she had firmer footing if she stepped between the swinging logs instead of on them.
Such a smart girl she is. She made it to the top and was all set to climb even higher to get to the big slide. 
Buppa convinced her to come down the smaller slide though and once she was on the sandy ground her little feet scampered off towards the swings again. More pics tomorrow - stay tuned.
By the time we left the library the rain had stopped, so we went for a walk along main street downtown. Smudge hopped, skipped and jumped along happily while Buppa kept a close eye on her.
She stopped frequently to window shop but we didn't mind. It was nice to be outside after the rainfall, so we let her set the pace and it was stop and go all along the way.
After that busy day it was time to go home to get ready for bed. Face washed, teeth brushed, jammies on, now it was time for a story.
This little one sure does like her story time with Buppa. He likes it too.
After two or three stories, she gets three waltzes with Buppa then it is off to bed. ZZZZZ. We all had a good day and neede to catch our ZZZ's for the busy day to follow. Stay tuned for more pics tomorrow.

After a snuggle with Buppa on the deck...
Smudge did some creative flag waving, and then...
gave her flag to CB so he could get in on the celebrations too.
We just had to take a picture of this little poncho even though we didn't buy it. Neither of us could believe our eyes when we saw it. It is the same material with the same white patterned stitching on it as a housecoat I bought over thirty years ago. Where on earth did they dig this material up from to make these ponchos?
CB got tired of sitting in his stroller, so I played "boo" with him in a mirror while Mommy continued to shop. He was getting such a giggle out of the game that Mommy stopped shopping long enough to take a picture. This is our reflection in the mirror. 
Soon after we took this picture we stopped for coffee and gave CB a bottle then headed back to Winner's to shop for more bargains for us. I got two blouses and two sweaters. Yay Winner's!
The Police choir warmed up before the show...

during our picnic supper.
Even CB wanted to get out of the stroller to see what was going on.
Precision paratroopers put on quite the show for us. They were so high up in the sky when they jumped out of the plane that they were just tiny dots in the sky. Once they cleared the plane they left a red smoke trail so that made it easier to follow their descent.
Soon we could see the shape of a person,
and the flag they were carrying.
It was amazing to see them land right in the middle of a bulls-eye on the field. Precision paratroopers for sure. It was quite an exciting show.

Highland Dancers entertained us before the main event.
By the time the Musical Ride started Smudge was getting very tired, and Mommy, Daddy, Buppa and I had our hands full keeping her contained and quiet so she wouldn't distract other people around us. As a result, I didn't get any pics of the Musical ride worth publishing. So here is a 4 minute clip I found on Youtube for you to enjoy.

Soon it was double duty for Nana though. I don't think she minded at all. 
Smudge then had to explore our bikes and thought it was quite grand to sit on Buppa's bike.
