Day at Grandma & Grandpa's House

Thesha had a breakfast date yesterday so Smudge was dropped off at our house bright and early to spend the morning with us. Oh joy! First task of the morning was breakfast. As you can see, Smudge was quite intent on exploring what was in her new dish.
Evidently she liked what she found and managed to get it in her hair, nose, ear, and wonder of wonders, even her mouth. She had her own spoon, but soon commandeered mine too.

This is a Bunnykins dish that was given to me when Thesha was a baby and it put in years of service with Thesha and Althegal. Lots of warm wonderful memories flooded the kitchen when Smudge used it for the first time yesterday.

Later that morning I had an appointment to get my hair cut, so after breakfast Grandpa was on his own for awhile and he did just fine during his solo babysitting gig. Even managed to deal with a poopy diaper.

When I came home Smudge was helping Grandpa dust the floors.

Then it was time for lunch. Another fine mess was made, but a grand time was had by all.

One quick last minute check for cobwebs and then it was time to go home.

Floors were all clean, so Smudge and I went to our separate beds for a nap.

I love Bunnykins china, both my girls had some (in 60's) and it was then added to and used by my grandchildren.

Mark's mom still keeps her children's bunnykins dishes on display in the china cabinet, and keeping with tradition, bought a set for Ava an Nate, too! Fun fun!

Chris and Karla - Bunnykins never grow old. This dish is scratched, but still looks great, and the weight and shape make it perfect for learning to feed yourself.

Ahh the memories dancing around the rim of this plate with the bunnies. Sweet indeed.

Oh such fun--to use something you had saved from your girls. And double the memories, thereby!
Love all the photos, and the captions.
Here's to more days with Smudge "helping" out.

One of the things I really missed when you were on hiatus was hearing about Smudge! How big she has gotten.

Granny - life got busy and I thought AC was doing a fine job on keeping friends posted, so I let the laptop gather dust. I was itching to get back into the game though and am glad I did. One can never post too many pics of Smudge!!!!
