Tree Decorating Party - Part one

I have been a bit under the weather this week, so mail and blogs have not been tended to. Cough, hack, sneeze! I think I picked up a bug at the mall when we went Christmas shopping, and I did my best to fight it off so I could enjoy all the festivities during the A Team visit, but the late nights and whirlwind activities did me in and I have been down for the count this week. Hopefully I'll get caught up on my mail next week. Stayed tuned....

When we arrived on Saturday afternoon for the Tree Decorating party, Smudge was all dressed in her finest...
and even had her toenails painted a sparkly and red and silver for the occasion.
Auntie Alycia was the most excited kid of all, and could hardly wait to start decorating the tree. This little Jewish girl sure loves to celebrate the tree decorating side of Christmakkah, and was bubbling with excitement.
Molly, waited a bit more sedately for the festivities to begin.
Ally and I enjoyed a visit on the couch...
while Marielle and Monique relaxed and settled in for an afternoon of family fun. Finally it was time to begin. Auntie Alycia and Smudge worked as a team to put the ribbon garland on the tree, while the rest of us watched.
Once all the ribbon garland was on to everyone's satisfaction, Smudge thought it was time to wear the ribbon box on her head.
When she turned around to ask her sister Molly what she thought of her new hat, she got a resounding nod of approval.
Then it was time to go back to the task of decorating the tree, and Smudge and Auntie Alycia happily did just that.
Soon the whole gang was getting involved...
JJ was up from his nap by this time, so he added a few finishing touches he thought the tree needed...
then Smudge helped Daddy and Auntie Alycia put the Santa topper on the tree.
Part Two...on its way to you tomorrow....
