Day 8 dawned sunny and clear so we made tracks for downtown Halifax.
One of our tour books said the Casino was at the beginning of the boardwalk along the water, so we parked our car there, and...
after a rather long walk through myriad covered walkways...
we were out in the open and soaking in the atmosphere of the Halifax harbor.
AC greeted a new friend...
...and I said hello to an old one.
Then it was time to do a bit of shopping. Pretty huh? Yep, I bought it!
We stopped to watch an open air Square Dance competition...
then it was time for more shopping...
...and a cup of coffee at the water's edge before we hit the road again.
After our morning in the fresh air we were ready to get back in the car and motor on over to Grand Falls.

Great to see the harbour, love the sundress cuppa.....:-) Hugs
I used to work down near the harbour---I loved it, but I like Pier 21 too.
Bernie - I liked it too, but it looks better on the hanger. Once I put it on I felt like it was a huge tent. Going to make a great housecoat though.
Lorna - I can see why you loved working near there. There is just something special about being near the waterfront on a nice day. I think it would even be exciting during a storm.
