Summer Fun

We have been busy with the kidlets for the past couple of weeks, and I am now in recovery mode.  Here are some assorted pictures from the two weeks of fun.
We started each day with swimming lessons.  The kids really progressed this year, and we enjoyed watching them go through their paces.  After swimming class each day, we packed a picnic lunch and hit the road to go on an adventure.
Here we are in Almonte.   Time for a rest, after  a walk along the water....
Putting on a show for us in the gazebo...
...dancing in the gazebo...
...and climbing a tree in the park... JJ doesn't look too comfy and needed a hand down soon after we took this pic.
Buppa to the rescue.

We spent time at the library, and JJ was more than happy to sit quietly with Buppa and read a book.  Danica on the other hand.......
We enjoyed a sunny afternoon at the Mill of Kintail.  Danica spent a lot of time looking for moss and other interesting things in the water.

JJ joined in the fun, and when it was time to go home, they were both soaked from head to toe!
While we were there, a summer day-camp class joined us for fun in the water.
We even stopped in at the local farmer's supply store to  say hello to the baby chicks that were awaiting pick-up.
It was a busy but fun two weeks. Time to rest up now, and get ready for the next tour of duty.

Frances and I are getting super excited about our coming visit up your way. :) It's only a couple of weeks!

Andrea - we are too. I checked with a Tea Room about our Dragon Society Tea Party, and it is all set for 2pm on Saturday. Yum! We still need to borrow a dragon or two for the event. I think Mary will join us too. I hope you can come Friday night, but 2pm will be doable if you have to wait until Saturday morning for the trek across province.
See you soon.

We already have lots of dragons packed. :) Not to worry.

I'm hoping for Friday night too. Still have to figure out some details though. Do you know if VIA is an option in your neck of the woods?

Andrea - Yes, I believe we could pick you up in Smiths Falls. That is not far from us at all.
