Fun...trouble...more fun...at the park

We all went to the park on Mother's Day.  The kids had a blast playing on the equipment while the adults chatted at a picnic table near by. 

JJ ran into a bit of trouble...hang on JJ, help is coming..

 Buppa was close by, and helped the lad find his footing again. Whew!

Time to wipe away a tear or two, fix a drippy nose...

then it was time to get back to work...er...play.

What fun!

Mother's Day 2012

Happy Mother's Day Amma

I hurt my finger daddy. 

Both kids need a hug after Smudge hurt her finger. 

All smiles again, and time for Amma to put a braid in Smudge's hair

Then off to the ice cream shoppe for a Mother's Day treat.

Fun with our Nova Scotia friends

What a treat it is to get together with old and dear friends.  Even though years pass between our visits, we seem to be able to pick up right where we left off, and the time apart just melts away.  We laugh a lot, and pack lots of fun activities into every minute of our visit. 

I think St Paul has made a new friend, and wants to go for a ride.

Mmmm,, lunch at Wheeler's Pancake House.  

We dined on pancakes and fresh maple syrup and feasted on the fabulous view

 

Time for the girls to rock a bit and relax while the guys gallivant to take some pictures.

Next stop, a walk along the water in Almonte.

Thanks for the visit, it was total fun.

before she goes outside to help Buppa in the garden.

You can't see it in this picture, but she is busy burying, in the garden, a huge bunch of weeds that I just pulled from the grass. 

I think we need to get her some seeds to plant!

Walk in the park with JJ

We were treated to a mild, sunshine filled day on Monday, so we took JJ to the park. He had a grand time, and so did we.

We walked along the water's edge.

JJ ran hither and thither gathering sticks to throw in the water...

then checked out bugs and other treasures along the walk.

After our walk, AC and I sat on a bench and watched, as JJ scampered through the grass

Climbed trees

Summitted mountainous rocks

Stopped to smell the flowers.

It was a fun day. 

Cat in the Hat Birthday Party

These pics are from Smudge's BD party with her friends from school.  It had a Cat in the Hat theme.

JJ checked out the goodie table as soon as he walked in the house.

Amma and Buppa didn't stay around for the party.  We babysat the kids for the morning while Mommy and Daddy decorated the house, then we headed for the hills right after we delivered them home.  By all accounts the party was a big success and great fun was had by all. 

Sleepover fun

We had the Smudgster for a sleepover on the weekend, and we had fun with some fake nails.

She loved the way they looked, but they only lasted for about half an hour.  Once it was time to go out and play in the garden, she wanted to get rid of them!
